Over-tightening risks pushing the global economy into an unnecessarilysevere recession. Financial markets may also struggle with overly rapidtightening. Yet, the costs of these policy mistakes are not symmetric. Thehard-won credibility of central banks could be undermined if they misjudgeyet again the stubborn persistence of inflation. This would prove much moredetrimental to future macroeconomic stability. Where necessary, financial policy should ensure that markets remain stable. However, central banks need to keep asteady hand with monetary policy firmly focused on taming inflation.
That said, the narrative intent of the feature, in my mind anyway, would preclude benefiting from it if you have to rise from a crouch. It just feels like too much shifting around to benefit from a feature that has the word "steady" in its name.
steady hands or aim
For game balance purposes, I make cover you crouch behind count as going prone (or house rule a "half prone" that only requires 1/4 movement to stand). So you wouldn't be able to steady aim and stand in the same turn.

Most people tend to think of just supporting the barrel end of the gun when trying to get a steady shooting position. This is all well and good, but it is only part of the equation. In reality, supporting the butt end of the gun is just as important. That brings us to the next tip.
We all know that using a tripod is the established way to get a steady shot, but sometimes static shots from a tripod can be quite restricting and not very dynamic OR you may not own a tripod/have the time to set one up.
For shooting with lighter cameras such as a DSLR or Z1/Z7 keep your arms as tight into your body as possible (as demonstrated perfectly in the header for this post). Bracing them against your shoulder and using the viewfinder to stabilise can also help. The further the camera is away from your upper body (the further away from your center of gravity) and the harder it will be to keep steady.

The gun should be placed in your hand so that if you were to draw a line from the muzzle through the gun, then back to your hand, it should run down the centerline of your arm. This helps with dissipating recoil into your arms instead of into your hands and wrists.
There are two mistakes people make with their offhand. The first is "tea cupping." This is putting the other hand under the handle and gripping the end of the magazine. This may work for keeping the gun steady, but having two hands on the gun helps control recoil. 2ff7e9595c
